Thursday 29th April

We're hosting a one-off special Silver Hips at Hifi Club as the Leeds date of the upcoming Good Shoes UK Tour, with the band playing live ( http://www.myspace.com/goodshoes ). Adventures Pour Deux.

Ok, some pretty cool news for us, and you, possibly. We've been receiving many requests to dj at various nights around Leeds, which we're pretty excited about. We get the chance to promote the night, say hello to new people, but more importantly we get the chance to act like divas for a whole evening. Boom.

First date is this Saturday at Bad Sneakers. We'll be on at half eleven till two, a hefty two and a half hours of pure fun! There'll be some 'toons' that we wouldn't usually play at La Hips, and we're aiming to have some fun fun times, so come along.

The next date is quite original, but obscure and should be quite fun. It's on May 6th (night of Silver Hips) and is at the TMF? bowling alley - there'll be a dance floor I think, there'll be bowling and there'll be alcohol. Then afterwards, there'll be SIlver Hips. Extra Boom.

The third night I'm not sure we can divulge, but it'll be after many fantastic bands all in one day, in one large studious hall. It's going to be pretty darn tootin enjoyable. We're also being given a dressing room, cue ego growth.

There you are, three interesting propositions. Do as you please with them, but don't spit on them.

So we've been a little slack on the blogging front recently! This is going to hopefully change, with us aiming to write regular updates on what we're up to.

So, firstly some up coming dates:

Thursday 4th March - La Shark http://www.myspace.com/lasharkband are playing live. We've seen them a couple of times now, and they're insanely good - be prepared for a nice sweaty dance.

Radio...

What do Sean Combs, Shaun Carter, lots of other american rappers and...Liam Gallagher all have in common?...... They all have their own clothing line! But sadly that's not for us, we've decided to branch out into something less expensive/free! We have our own radio show now, aptly named Silver Hips Radio. It's on every Tuesday from 8pm-9pm at http://lsrfm.com.

It shall contain lots of exciting words and voices, and even some interviews and acousticy type sessions. So check it next Tuesday.

DJ'ing

hey all,

funnily enough, well amazingly enough, we have been asked to dj at one of leeds mets biggest freshers nights this year - the thursday alternative - it's on the 24th of this month at leeds mets su.

also dj'ing are the pigeon detectives and from what i gather each member of the band will be appearing and also thomas from skins is dj'ing, so i guess that means it is now an official skins party, so bring your glow paint!

if you want to try and get on the guestlist, get into contact, if not it is eight whole pounds.

One Silver Hips Blog.

Hey to all,

I quite spontaneously came to the decision to create a blog around an hour ago, and thus here we are. The reasoning behind this time-filling quest was to have a website for Silver Hips, without the unnecessarily time-consuming strain of creating an actual website (which will happen, but not too aware as to when).

The blog is predominantly going to be used to promote Silver Hips related bizzle, but we will also have sporadic 'blogs' or 'updates' on what we think is cool at the moment, let us know what you think also.
